First released in 1979 and produced by Nick Lowe, ‘Armed Forces’ was Elvis Costello’s third studio album, and his second with his most famous backing band The Attractions. Featuring UK no.2 hit single ‘Oliver’s Army’ and its follow-up ‘Accidents Will Happen’, it remains one of Costello’s most well-loved records. This super-deluxe box set, spanning nine slabs of vinyl, features unheard material from three live shows on top of a welter of bonus material, plus updated liner notes from Elvis himself. The final word on this wonderful album.
