Colosseum is a British jazz-rock band, belongs to the early representatives and one of the founders of English progressive rock. The band was founded in 1968 by drummer Jon Heisman, as well as tenor saxophonist Dick Hextall-Smith and bassist Tony Reeves. In 1994, the 1971 line-up was reinstated, and the group continued its activities.
