The Boy Who Played the Harp will be the first release from Dave since 2023, when self-produced Central Cee collaboration ‘Sprinter’ broke the record for the longest running #1 rap record in UK chart history, succeeding his 2022 single ‘Starlight’ which set the record for longest-running No.1 solo UK track, and the first UK No.1 by a sole writer and producer in 8 years. The record-breaking release of We’re All Alone In This Together in July 2021 confirmed Dave as one of the most established artists of our time, with the biggest first week sales across all genres for 2 years at the time (74,000+) and the biggest UK Rap record in over a decade, achieving gold status within 3 weeks of release, and quickly becoming his second Platinum album.
