Back in 2025, Ace Records were delighted to release a collection curated by Paul Weller of some of his favourite soul music - We now present a second volume, where Weller digs even deeper to present another set of favourite tracks.
These 24 gems spread over four sides of vinyl or one CD give us a wide angle perspective of Weller's listening habits and include Charles Sheffield's 'It's Your Voodoo Working', Candi Staton's 'Too Hurt To Cry', Garland Green's 'You Played On A Player', Millie Foster's 'Love Wheel', Bo Diddley's 'Road Runner', the Cookies' 'Chains' and the Mystic Moods' 'Cosmic Sea'.
As Weller states in his introduction, "I hope you enjoy this compilation, it's the sort of thing I would have made up on a mix-cassette 30-plusyears ago.
